ABOUT

Christopher, Chris Curtis is a ridiculous man.

His name is Christopher Curtis, Chris. His middle name is not Chris and his surname isn't either. allegedly.

Christopher Chris Curtis Chris is a British painter, stand-up comedian, Director, Poet, Writer, Actor, scrabble enthusiast, drag artist, tutor, worrier, and queer, he is not free this weekend, or any weekend until 2036.

He is afraid of spiders, mannequins, deep water and The Daily Mail, He enjoys light entertainment and occasionally heavy entertainment like the Simpsons Movie.

George Machin said, "he has beautiful eyes, tell 'em that-"

Curtis Chris trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts He later decided he would continue to pursue Visual Arts alongside theatre after obtaining his Acting qualifications.

He is dedicated and loyal to the arts, (he probably can't do fractions.) Creative hobbies have always consumed his life, credit where credit is due: he'll try something new every other week and we're running out of hobbies to give him.

Throughout his experimentation and process he has stayed loyal to his favourite mediums: oil and Watercolour.

In his writing, He is best known for the Poem: Backwards Facing, published in 2023, It reflected the state of trans rights in the UK, Chris continued to write about trans rights all the way through Covid, publishing, continuing to speak on the medical rights and trans existence and experience within the UK.

He has always asked for more paper.

His work on LGBTQ+ Rights has always been positive, focusing on joy within what has been deemed a "lonely existence."

His work focuses on community, home and gender euphoria.  It also broadly centres around Languages, how we speak and engage, bringing attention to, in his own words: the idiocy behind fear and Anger.

It is perfectly okay to fear something you do not understand, the problem is fear that contains violence instead of curiosity.

Backwards Facing contained multiple references to the English language and how it came about and when exactly we started using it against change.

Chris hated poetry as a young teen, regardless of not understanding what poetry actually was-

having a poem published changed that, obviously.

He hadn't seen many poems that didn't rhyme so assumed he would have to create one that did. luckily, he did not.

However, the creation of his first Poem: At All, Shortly brought on one of his proudest creations, Majesty Micheal.

Majesty Micheal is a children's book, rhyming throughout, though inevitably, it's a bit of a tongue twister. The book came together during a counselling exercise: where all wholesome children's fiction is born?

Chris had to fold a sheet of paper into 6 sections, drawing different plot points for each. He drew a goose, then a party hat, then a goose called Micheal wearing the party hat.

"that could be a children's book!" he exclaimed, the idea was shut down, it was exam season... and he probably sounded mental.

regardless, the next week Chris arrived at his session with a fully illustrated, fully rhyming, wooden prototype of his creation: Majesty Micheal.

The man is dedicated, if not for any stronger words.

This story is the best reflection I can give of what Chris is like.

In Visual Art, Chris started drawing and painting in the early years of his life, attending art classes alongside school for about 5 years.

He always loved watercolour but only started using oil paint on the day of  his GCSE art exam, smug-

He couldn't buy any linseed oil at the time, so opted for water as his wet medium with oil paint, (he somehow didn't fail science but it was a shock to everyone when he passed...)

He achieved a 9 (A*) in fine art, regardless of  his disdain for  coursework- and fully to do with his abandonment of every other subject.)

During the pandemic, Chris started to write professionally, In 2021, 'The Edison Accounts' was born, a ghost-focussed novel. The book became a comedy podcast series. 'comedy' it was about ghosts, this book is reflected in the only tattoo Chris has-

Produced by Himself, the original series trailer is still available on YouTube.

He started doing drag in March 2024, I think it was just to add to that fat list of titles at the start. take a day off 'Curtistopher chris.'

As his mate said, "Some people should pick up a hobby, Chris should put down two or three."

He has two Dogs, Mimi and Flo. He thought he was afraid of rollercoasters for years, he's actually just terrified of Ferris wheels, he is a Taurus and can cook an excellent steak and chips, he loves his friends and his favourite colour is yellow.

He loves Comedy and theatre, he finds the fight between his visual art and love of theatre difficult but has acknowledged he can do both if he has to. He loves Dogs but still likes Cats. This page is dedicated to Trixie, Chris' childhood dog who passed in January 2025, "I still can't believe the vets gave us your dandruff back..."

Chris Curtis is a strange man.

Milk and two sugars.

He has toast with honey for breakfast, and if he's writing he'll eat a 12-pack of Biros.

He is free and cared for. He is creative and happy. not much else is worth being.
